With Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certification, ACME is an approved Vendor with Southern California Edison (SCE), SDG & E (San Diego Gas & Electric) for the Energy Upgrade California Program Certification.

Acme has two technology specific skill sets, RF “Radio Frequency” communications systems construction and service in addition to Solar PV (Photo Voltaic) power systems construction and service. This is not a random pairing, the crossover is very complementary and the mix benefits our clientele.

Acme RF, Inc. provides communications systems services to the Broadcast Television, Law Enforcement and Private industries. Our subdivision, Acme Solar Solutions provides energy audits and turnkey solar photo- voltaic (PV) power systems for commercial and residential clients. While the single greatest improvement in an energy modification for a building is typically building a PV power system first, we have to understand Building Performance or Home Performance. Our approach is a comprehensive whole-building assessment. We strive to identify failures and offer correction options, which will provide Comfort and Energy Efficiency.

Our decision to focus on and offer Solar Power systems is a natural fit with our communications background. Solar arrays are very much like large antenna systems from a mechanical and structural requirement stand point. From a project and customer need perspective in either industry one solution does not fit all. Although systems can be similar in type, function, consumption and efficiency, the needs of the system owner can be very different.

Our goal at Acme RF & Acme Solar Solutions is to master the evaluation process, provide comprehensive correction options, which are specifically unique to each owner and install the solutions following the customized design.

Bob’s grandfather was a master carpenter and his father Wayne, a career soldier, shared grandfather’s carpentry skills and his pride in workmanship. These backgrounds all influenced him in a very positive way.

Bob has worked in the communications construction industry since 1984. He formed Jordan Communications in 1987 and in 1991 he joined forces with Focus Communications. He and his partners sold Focus to a public manufacturing company in 2007. Together he and his partners also formed Western Pacific Mobile Microwave and Blueridge Enterprises.

Bob has held contractor’s licenses in CA, NV, AZ, AK, and AL. He has been solely responsible for the management of projects valued at over $100M and participated as a senior manager on the $1B Sprint US BAS relocation project

Acme RF, Inc is the service company Bob always wanted, with a talented team, building interesting projects, focused on the client’s best interests. His last company evolved over 20 years from a small start-up partnership to a mid-sized corporation, which they eventually sold to a public company. While that was a financial success, Bob found that he missed the client interaction and the satisfaction that comes with building projects. Acme RF, Inc was formed in July of 2011 and he added Acme Solar Solutions in 2012. Acme as a corporation will stay small enough that every client will know we are invested in their success.

Outside of Solar, Bob loves strategy games, flying, boating, biking, great food and good wine.
